An online community for internationals building meaningful lives together — wherever you are in the world, however long you've been there. Come as you are.
Many internationals move abroad full of potential — only to find that the inner work of belonging takes far longer than expected. The unfamiliar systems, the invisible social codes, the quiet sense of being between worlds — these don't always resolve on their own, whether you arrived last month or years ago.
Expats Thrive exists to change that. We operate as an online community learning ecology — a space you can access from anywhere, where people come as they are, learn from each other, and support one another's wellbeing and growth.
When you feel you belong, everything else becomes possible: clarity, confidence, and the ease to take your next steps at your own pace.
A living, breathing virtual home — always open, always warm. Engage in sharing circles, live sessions, and async conversations with internationals all over the world, at times that work for your life and timezone.
Form meaningful one-on-one partnerships online with people who resonate with your experience. Those who've already found their footing share orientation with those still searching — across borders, across time zones.
A small organising team holds the online space with care and intention — including facilitators such as an Organic Intelligence coach — so that every member feels safe to show up fully.
Emotional, mental, and social wellbeing are not afterthoughts here — they are the foundation. Our online spaces are designed for depth, ease and clarity.
Join our online community without needing to perform okayness or have it all figured out. Log on from wherever you are. Your story is welcome here.
Participate in online sharing circles, create connections across the globe, and discover the quiet relief of being truly understood.
From a place of connection and emotional steadiness, gain the clarity and gentle agency to take your next steps — personally, socially, and professionally.
A virtual home for people at every stage of their abroad journey — recent arrivals and long-term residents alike. No comparison, no timeline. Come as you are.
A safe online space for those who've put parts of themselves on hold after relocation. To reconnect with who you are, find social ground again, and reimagine what's next.
Online peer-led spaces to process the emotional and mental landscape of living abroad — the loneliness, the identity shifts, the quiet grief of leaving, and the joy of slowly arriving.
From navigating daily life in a new country to gently stepping back into professional life — at your own pace, when you feel ready...
Every program is built around what internationals actually need — not generic workshops, but intentional online experiences shaped by community, care, and context. Accessible from anywhere, at a pace that suits you. You don't need to be ready. You just need to show up.
Live online sessions to help you build social roots, understand the emotional landscape of relocation, and find your place in a global community of people who truly get it.
Online cycles of mutual exchange where experience is shared laterally, not just top-down. Every member is both learner and guide — and in that reciprocity, confidence quietly grows.
Self-paced and live online explorations of the inner experience of living abroad — identity, resilience, emotional regulation, and the art of building a life that truly feels like yours.
Regular online gatherings — live conversations, themed circles, casual hangouts — that build the social fabric of the community. Low-pressure, genuine, and open to all.
Resources and light facilitation support for members who want to self-organise a local group — so that online bonds can grow roots wherever you are.
For members who are ready, curated online access to professional conversations, networks, and opportunities — as a natural step from social groundedness, not a starting point.
Activities for developing effortless awareness where mindfulness becomes part of the DNA — gentle creative practices that build presence, ease, and a natural sense of flow in everyday life.
Expats Thrive is for anyone living in a country that wasn't always home — at any stage of that journey — who is looking for genuine human connection, emotional support, and the quiet confidence to take their next steps with ease. It doesn't matter where in the world you are.
Living abroad — even long-term — can mean feeling emotionally between worlds, socially invisible, and professionally stalled. These experiences affect wellbeing deeply.
When internationals feel they truly belong, they stabilise, grow, and contribute — to their families, their organisations, and the communities around them. Expats Thrive creates the conditions for exactly that.
Expats Thrive is currently forming its Founding Circle — an early online community shaping the future of the platform together. As a founding member, you won't just join a community. You'll help build it — from wherever you are.
If you are an international living abroad — whether you arrived last season or last decade — and you're longing for connection, steadiness, and the ease to move forward, we invite you to join us online. Come as you are.
Home is something you build. You don't have to build it alone.
Expats Thrive was born from lived experience. Our core organising team has roots in both Germany and the United States — two countries where the seeds of this community were first planted, and where we continue to hold a dual-anchored presence today.
With local touchpoints in Frankfurt and Santa Monica, there are real people behind this community who know what it means to navigate life across cultures, who have done the inner and outer work of building home somewhere new, and who show up with that understanding every time they hold space for this community.
Come as you are. We know where you've been — because we've been there too.
Based in Frankfurt, Payal brings firsthand experience of what it takes to rebuild a professional life in a new country. A Mechanical Engineer from a top engineering college in India, she built a career in procurement at a leading Oil & Gas company — before relocating to Germany to support her family's transition and settle two children into an entirely new schooling system.
A cosmopolitan from birth, she grew up moving between cultures and worldviews — which made belonging not a given, but a practice she learned to cultivate. She has spent years working with expats, expat spouses, and internationally mobile people navigating the quiet, ongoing work of turning a new place into somewhere that feels like home.
Based in Santa Monica, California, Marie has built a freelance practice as a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner with over a decade of experience in movement therapy, somatic education, and mind-body based approaches to wellbeing. Her work centres on helping people develop richer relationships with themselves and others — building awareness, ease, and authentic expression through movement.
